RFB&D is the leader in providing accessible educational content for
students with learning and print disabilities. Funding of RFB&D memberships for schools is an excellent use of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds.
RFB&D is well-positioned to meet the four guidelines
of these funds outlined by the Federal Department of Education:
- Speed: RFB&D can enroll schools and students immediately with membership options that allow students to access curriculum through "state of the art assistive technology devices", one use of IDEA funds recommended by the Department of Education.
- Improve Student Achievement: Research results from Johns Hopkins, Tufts, and Rutgers show significant gains in student achievement, helping states and schools meet legal requirements under IDEA and accountability measures under NCLB.
- Transparency and accountability: RFB&D has been a leader in providing accessible educational content and resources for more than sixty years, with long-standing relationships with State DOEs providing services and support to local districts and schools.
- One-time investment: RFB&D's flexible membership options offer solutions based on funds available.
