- The student will prewrite by generating ideas from multiple sources (brainstorming, notes, journals, discussion, research materials or other reliable sources) based upon teacher-directed topics and personal interests.

Objectives: |
Students will:
- Read or listen to 13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson.
- Follow the various tasks and pieces of information given to Ginny through the use of letters to help her understand her aunt’s last journey and offer life lessons.
- Keep track of the journey via a world map.
- Use their prior knowledge of Peg and Ginny to write the lost 13th letter with an artistic envelope.
