Objectives: |
Students will:
- Read and/or listen to the story Wemberly Worried by Kevin Henkes and discuss it literally and analytically
- List 3–5 things that Wemberly worried about and what she could do or think about to help herself not to feel worried.
- Brainstorm a time when they were worried about something and how they overcame their fear/worry.
- Understand the basic format of a paragraph.
- Complete a graphic organizer as a prewriting strategy.
- Use a graphic organizer as a prewriting strategy to write a five-sentence paragraph about their experience to include an introductory sentence, three detail sentences and a wrap up sentence.
