Students will:
  • Read or listen to Chapter 4 of The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman.
  • Record new and unfamiliar vocabulary and symbols.
  • Use context clues to make educated guesses about meanings of the unknown vocabulary and symbols.
  • Identify controversial themes.
  • Answer comprehension questions.
