- Read Yertle the Turtle by Dr. Seuss.
- Listen for specific details regarding the theme and author’s message using Think-Pair-Share.
- Use reflection questions to help guide them through the listening activity.
- Compare and contrast a democracy and an autocracy or dictatorship using a Venn diagram.
