  • The student will analyze a variety of text structures (eg: comparison/contrast, cause/effect, chronological order, argument/support, lists) and text features (main headings with subheadings) and explain their impact on meaning in the text.

Students will:

  • Read Pathfinders of the American Frontier by Diane Cook.
  • Use a Triangular Comparison Diagram in order to find similarities and differences of explorers of early America.
  • Identify at least three early explorers of early America.
