Standards & Goals:	New Jersey Core Curriculum Standards NJ 1 (Reading) Determine both what the text says explicitly and what can be inferred logically from the text NJ 5 (Reading) Determine when, where and why events unfold in the text, and explain how they relate to one another NJ 10 (Reading) Analyze how specific details and larger portions of the text contribute to the meaning of the text. Note that standards in this lesson plan are for example only. This lesson can be easily adapted to meet your state's specific standards.
Objectives:	Students will: Examine decisions made by T.J. Jones and analyze his character. Collaborate in groups to come to a consensus on a judgment of each decision.
