Objectives: |
Students will:
- Read and discuss the novel literally and analytically.
- Write a letter as if they were one of the main characters in the story (e.g. Jessica to Tom or Tom to Jessica) depicting what his/her life is like now based on information from the story.
- Respond to a classmate’s letter as another character in the novel (e.g. Jessica or Tom).
- Discuss the content of the letters as a group to gain insight into the characters in the novel and predict what is happening in their lives.
