Students will:
 

  1. Read and/or listen to The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie and discuss the text literally and analytically.
  2. Discuss how expectations can form a person’s actions and transform a person’s actions and beliefs.
  3. Write an essay outlining how a character or cultural group’s expectations can be both positive and negative and how they can be transformed due to experiences.
