Objectives: |
Students will:
- Read and/or listen to the book Tituba of Salem Village by Ann Petry and discuss the novel both literally and analytically.
- Define and explain the following concepts of the American judicial system: burden of proof, presumption of innocence, evidentiary support and trial by jury.
- Find examples from the novel that are either supported or negated by the concepts of justice.
