Objectives: |
Students will:
- Read, understand and discuss the novel Journey to America by Sonia Levitin.
- Locate Germany and surrounding countries on a world map.
- List and describe the fate of Jewish children in Nazi-occupied Germany during World War II.
- List and describe the resistance efforts of at least one person or organization that aided children and families during the Nazi occupation of Germany during World War II.
- Create a journal entry for a Jewish child in Germany or a child of a host family.
