  • Read The Breadwinner: An Afghan Child in a War Torn Land by Deborah Ellis prior to lesson.
  • Create three illustrations of Parvana: one as a girl, one disguised as a boy and one of her 20 years later at the Eiffel Tower.
  • Write an account of the 20 year reunion between Parvana and Shauzia.
