Students will:
 

  • Read and/or listen to the novel Go Tell It on the Mountain by James Baldwin and discuss it literally and analytically.
  • Discuss how feelings can influence characters’ actions within a story
  • Write an essay describing how various feelings influenced the actions of three main characters
  • Learn the definition of the literary genre bildungsroman.
