Objectives:

Students will:

  • Discover the relationship between the circumference and diameter of any circle, and develop an informal meaning of pi (π).
  • Calculate the circumference and/or area of a circle, given the radius or diameter.
  • Calculate the radius or diameter of a circle, given the circumference or area.
