Circumference and area of a circle 4.3.6 D. Procedures 1. Solve simple linear equations with manipulatives and informally. Note that standards in this lesson plan are for example only. This lesson can be easily adapted to meet your state's specific standards.
Objectives:	Students will: Discover the relationship between the circumference and diameter of any circle, and develop an informal meaning of pi (π). Calculate the circumference and/or area of a circle, given the radius or diameter. Calculate the radius or diameter of a circle, given the circumference or area.
