Standards & Goals:	New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards 4.1.8 A. Number Sense 3. Understand and use ratios, rates, proportions and percents in a variety of situations. 4.1.8 B. Numerical Operations 4. Solve problems involving proportions and percents. Note that standards in this lesson plan are for example only. This lesson can be easily adapted to meet your state's specific standards.
Objectives:	Students will: Determine whether there is a percent of increase or percent of decrease, given an original and new amount. Calculate the percent of change between two amounts, using the percent proportion.
