Objectives: |
Students will:
- Read/listen to The Search for New Lands by Ellen Catala.
- List and describe at least two reasons for European exploration during the Age of Exploration.
- List and describe two pros and two cons that resulted from the European exploration.
- Complete activities or answer questions after each chapter in the book, analyzing the explorations and lives of several European explorers: Marco Polo, Christopher Columbus, Ferdinand Magellan, Francisco Vasquez de Coronado and James Cook.
- Identify the five explorers outlined in the book and briefly describe their discoveries and explorations.
