Students will:
- Read and/or listen to the book Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry by Mildred D. Taylor and discuss it literally and analytically.
- Define the term Jim Crow laws.
- Describe the effect of Jim Crow laws on the lives of African Americans during the early 20th century.
- Complete a graphic organizer showing specific examples of Jim Crow laws found in the book.
