Objectives:

Students will:
 

  • Listen to and/or read the book An Angry Drum Echoed by Pamela Bauer Mueller and discuss the book literally and analytically.
  • Create a timeline of the main events in the book using the sequencing chart found on the Learning Through Listening website.
  • Choose a historical figure from the book and write three journal entries for that person based on three different points on the timeline.
  • Identify at least four people who were integral to the founding of Savannah.
  • Name at least three Indian tribes indigenous to Georgia and the Carolinas and who played a major role in the British colonization of Georgia and Savannah.
