Objectives:

Students will:

  • Read and discuss the book America’s 13 The Original Colonies.
  • Learn at least two reasons for European nations forming colonies in the Americas.
  • Learn at least five facts about the hardships of the Pilgrims and the first colonists.
  • Learn facts about each of the original 13 colonies.
  • Work in a cooperative group to create a Jeopardy game about one of the 13 colonies.
  • Answer questions about the 13 colonies in an attempt to win the class Colonial History Jeopardy Tournament.
