Standards & Goals:	New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards (8th Grade) 4.2.8 A. Geometry and Measurement – Understand and apply properties of polygons. Sum of measures of interior angles of a polygon 4.3.8 D. Patterns and Algebra – Create, evaluate, and simplify algebraic expressions involving variables. Note that standards in this lesson plan are for example only. This lesson can be easily adapted to meet your state's specific standards.
Objectives:	Students will: Determine the sum of the measures of the interior angles of a triangle. Create and evaluate a formula to find the sum of the measures of the interior angles of a polygon. Write and solve equations to determine the measures interior angles of regular polygons.
